Last November 13, 2009, The Andres Bonifacio Elementary School Alumni Rondalla was hailed the champion of NAMCYA 2009 Rondalla C category.
Of course, we were very happy. Even though we did not have the chance to be complete on rehearsals, we managed to play soulfully. On that day, we did not expect to be the champion because many groups were good too. But on the announcement of winners, we were all shocked to hear that our group won the competition. We all jumped high and screamed loud, of course. haha (when I jumped, my cellphone fell and I was like, "Shit ung cell ko! Nalaglag. Anu b yan inapakpakan pa..) haha.. I went to the stage holding my devastated cellphone, trying to fix it. Haha.
Our repertoire that day was:
1. Carmen Overture by Georges Bizet
2. Ang Gabi ng mga Aswang by Castro
3. Pasodoble no. 6 by Dominic Salustiano (Contest Piece)
The winners of NAMCYA 2009 Rondalla C Category was:
Champion: The Andres Bonifacio Elementary School Rondalla
2nd place: Quezon Rondalla
3rd place: The Cainta Rondalla Ensemble, Inc.
Correction! Ung nakalagay po sa souvenir program ng NAMCYA is San Andres Elementary School Rondalla.. hahaha !
